December 18, 2015 – A meaningful gift for Christmas

INEPE and OneAction’s holistic education project won the Mireille Caloghiris Award! Many thanks to Fengarion, Mireille Caloghiris and each and everyone of you for the 3,452 votes as well as your support and trust! We were truly touched by the amazing outpouring of solidarity from around the world. We would also like to congratulate the other participants that are leading other great projects in the field of education!
November 19, 2015 – Launch of GreenAction
OneAction is pleased to announce the recent launch of GreenAction, a programme designed to help schools act on key areas of environmental stewardship and sustainability. Our trained environmental education consultant provides support for specific actions, delivers training workshops and contributes to setting up and advising the school’s “Green Committee”. The first school to participate in GreenAction is La Côte International School, in Aubonne.
October 22, 2015 – Support OneAction at the Course de l’Escalade!
The 38th edition of the Escalade race will be held on Saturday, December 5th 2015. This Geneva tradition has become an opportunity for OneAction and friends to meet up and support our cause. This year, the money raised will contribute to funding One Meal a Day, a project that aims to daily offer a well-balanced meal to school children in our partner school in Bodh Gaya, India. October 9, 2015 – OneAction Partnerships
OneAction recently launched partnerships with local restaurants and businesses to raise funds for projects that are moving towards self-sufficiency. Devoted to the cause, Sunset, a local restaurant offering vegetarian and gluten-free meals, chose to participate in OneAction’s programme One Meal a Day taking place in a school near Bodh Gaya. July 16, 2015 – OneAction at Pointe de la Jonction
On July 15th, OneAction was invited to present its projects at the bar “Pointe de la Jonction” managed by the ARV Association. Taking advantage of the warm and sunny summer, we sold many cakes and organized environmental quizzes at this up and coming location along the Rhône river. It gave us the opportunity to talk to the local population about OneAction’s many activities in Switzerland and abroad.
July 6, 2015 – Conference on impact studies
On June 9th, 2015, OneAction attended the conference “From evidence to practice: how NGOs can benefit from impact studies”. Organised in Bern by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Center for Development and Cooperation (ETH-NADEL), this event aimed at promoting the use of impact studies in the field of cooperation and development, as well as to stir exchanges among Swiss NGOs on this topic.
June 25, 2015 – Great success at Fête de la Musique
OneAction participated for the third year in a row in the Fête de la Musique, managing a stall in the heart of Parc des Bastions. Thanks to the wonderful efforts and dedication of over 30 of our volunteers, we achieved a turnover of CHF 35,270 and a profit of around CHF 20,000 for our educational project in Bodh Gaya! With this figure, the entire One Meal a Day programme is funded for this year. Thank you to all our volunteers!
June 19, 2015 – OneAction at Fête de la Musique
OneAction is delighted to once again hold a food and drinks stand at Geneva’s Fête de la Musique! We hope to see all of you again this year to share more fun moments… See you on June 19th, 20th and 21st at our stand in the heart of Parc des Bastions (near rue Saint-Léger)! This year, all funds raised will be allocated to our project in Bodh Gaya.
May 19, 2015 – OneAction at the Cannes Film Festival
OneAction had the great opportunity to participate in the Cannes Festival 2015 thanks to Horyou’s invitation. Horyou is a social network aimed at highlighting positive actions around the world. May 10, 2015 – Great success of our salsa night!
The salsa evening organized by Fengarion and OneAction was a great success! The two floors of the Palais Mascotte were packed and, with the entrance, the raffle tickets and our tapas, we were able to raise CHF 5,962.90. This amount will be entirely donated to the INEPE, our Ecuadorian partner, to support the transition programme towards food self-sufficiency. A big thank you to Fengarion, the artists and the volunteers!
April 14, 2015 – Partnerships
OneAction sets up a partnership project with different shops or restaurants which offer their clients the possibility to contribute to one of our two projects in transition towards self-sufficiency: One Meal a Day in Bodh Gaya, India and our reforestation initiative in North Ecuador. As of today, the restaurants Pasta Prima, Olé Olé and Sunset Restaurant participate in this project. Click here for more information.
March 26, 2015 – Salsa night!
On Saturday, May 9, the philanthropic platform Fengarion and OneAction are organizing a salsa event at Palais Mascotte in Geneva to raise funds for our holistic education project with the INEPE in Quito.
