Saskia has always been passionate about solidarity, social work and humanitarian action. After growing up in several countries, including six years in India, her motivation to participate in these types of projects around the world continued to develop. During her Bachelor’s in Social and Political Studies and International Relations at University College London, and her Master’s in International Political Economy at Sciences Po, Paris, she was involved with several associations and NGOs. After her studies, she joined the UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) as an Associate Protection Officer in the Philippines and then came back to Geneva where she joined the Fondation pour Genève. She integrated OneAction during its first year of operation and has been working ever since to develop the organization and its projects.
Words that inspire me
"Be the change you wish to see in the world". (Mahatma Gandhi)
What I like about OneAction
What stimulates me at OneAction are the relationships of trust and solidarity that we build within the team, as well as with our partners and all of the people involved in the projects. These relationships evolve in a space of dialogue, respect and strong values where open-mindedness and the will to share ideas and create beautiful initiatives together inspire us to extend the range of possibilities and to act towards a more harmonious world.
